Hi All, I think it was William Astle who was looking for a WHiteboard app a couple weeks agao. I know there were some great suggestions, but tonight I came across one that I don't think was mentioned.
The software is called Coccinella and the link is: * http://www.thecoccinella.org/about From their main page: Chat Client With a Built-in Whiteboard Coccinella is a free and open-source cross-platform (Lin/Mac/Win) chat client with a built-in whiteboard for improved collaboration with other people. Other key features of Coccinella include: * File transfer * Plugin system * Group chat (MUC) * Avatars and emoticons * Multi-lingual and internationalized * Secured connections (TLS and SASL) * Open standard instant messaging protocol (*) (*) Coccinella can connect to any Jabber/XMPP instant messaging server. You can either use a public server, or you can deploy your own server. In the latter case, you can opt to federate your server with the public Jabber/XMPP network. I have not tested it, but a quick look at the screenshots and a few of the features seems to point to a farily nifty product. I would be interested to hear about anyones experience with this software. Maybe someone would like to do a presentation? ALso of not eon that site is an annoucement that Crackbook with be switching its chat to the XMPP protocol. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
