I can't make the Install fest. There is a city-wide food drive for the
InterFaith Food bank and we're very involved that morning. In the afternoon I
have to drive to Edson for my daughters motocross race so I'll be out of town.
What I do plan on however is to have some systems ready to donate before then
for Linux4Kids. I've got one done with Ubuntu and am working on a second one.
Now for the problem I've run into. In the Ubuntu load/install, I get past the
part about choosing the language but then as it goes on it gets to a prompt
that says (initramfs) and it hangs there. The same thing happens with Kubuntu.
Any suggestions on how to proceed? My plan is to have the systems with Ubuntu
or Kubuntu loaded which also re-partitions the hard drive and wipes out what
was on it before. The rest I'll leave up to those who know more than me.
I've got one system that turns out to have a bum power supply and the extra PSU
that I have won't work in this case. I hope to have these systems ready to get
to someone before the 20th so that they could be worked on then.

When is the install fest going to be listed on the site?
I know that it’s at Devry (somewhere) on the 20th.
What time is it?
