I want to add a GDM option to turn off winbind so that Ubuntu domain workstations can have local login when the network administrator needs to work on the system or when the server is down.
I know I can add GDM themes and sessions using simple text config files but what about options? Currently Ubuntu GDM has options for reboot, shutdown and restarting X. I though of a session wrapper that would turn off winbind but that would not work because session scripts happen after authentication and the winbind needs to be turned off be for authentication for this to work so a GDM option seems to be the best way. -- http://www.Radados.org
