I'm using Kubuntu 8.04 exclusively on all of my 8 small business
machines that include three laptops. I don't run Windows anymore, and
haven't for several years. I am interested in trying an aircard for my
Dell vostro 1710 laptop while we are away in the states during part of
November. I have accounts already with Fido (GSM) and Bell (CDMA) for
cell phones for my business.

Anyone have any particular success with aircards in Kubuntu? Hardware
on that stuff changes so fast that by the time I find a card that I know
will work, it is out of production or no longer offered by any of the
carriers. USB might be most convenient, as it can be moved between any
of the laptops (vostro 1700, vostro 1710, and an eeepc 901).

Thanks.

Frank.
