Good day Friends,
Thank you all for your help and the above problem. Seems like my buddy
worked it out thanks to all your help.
"...Dude, I can't thank you enough! I was going through the boot
messages, to get more info to explain the problem, and I started seeing
a bunch of mirroring errors (I have 2 drives mirrored), right before it
shit the bed. So I looked again at Bios stuff, and all looked fine. So I
disconnected 1 drive from the sata cable, same thing, no boot. So I
disconnect the other one and reconnect the 1st, and bam. it boots right
up. I guess the 1 drive of the mirror was faulty, but not the other. So
now that I can boot again, I'm going to replace the dead hd with a new
and set the mirror back up, and GET A UPS for this one. It should be an
easy sell to the client now :) I think a good backup solution is in
order as well. Basically, it was a set it up as fast and as cheap as you
can type job from years back, and their super happy with how it's run
maintenance free for 4 years with school kids pounding on it, so I think
they are ready to invest a little more..."
Thank he added (sarcastically, I'm sure):
"...I thank you again Alberto, and me and generations of my family will
revere The Great Linux Guru, Alberto Cirez in song and tale! lol..."
Thank you guys.
