Hi all, I picked up a cheap NAS and although it claims Linux support it is forced to having a VFAT partition (otherwise the NAS portion does not work).
Does anyone have a solution to preserving user/group permissions on a VFAT drive? I know I can tar up the files, but I'd like to keep random file access. I thought that there might be a fuse layer to store the permissions is a seperate file, but can't find anything like that. Any ideas? Simon. PS. Curlftpfs is a little optimistic.... ;-) -- si...@bourne:~/tempdir$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on ... curlftpfs 7.5T 0 7.5T 0% /home/simon/tempdir -- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
