Hi guys,

Turns out there was an on-board sound card which we have
now disabled; there is still no joy just yet, however. :-(

We did a check of the modules loaded before and after alsaconf
was run, and found that there are several *extra* sound-related ones
in memory *before* alsaconf makes the card work, so I'm not sure
what is going on there--should I try blacklisting the extra ones
so they don't get loaded?

/etc/modules has only two entries: 'sbp2' and 'loop', but seeing as
how there are no new sound modules in memory after running alsaconf,
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I might need to add there.

Will check out the init scripts next and see if I can find anything
there.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Rick.
