At the meeting last night, I had a video game running on my laptop that a few people had asked about. It's called "Simutrans" (http://www.simutrans.com/). It is cross platform, and has native packages for Ubuntu (just an "sudo apt-get install simutrans" away...)

This is a remake of an older game from the 486/early pentium days called "Transport Tycoon". The goal is to set up a transportation network between factories, cities, tourist attractions, etc. This includes roads, rail, air, and ships. Then keep it running right - which means making sure the factories get enough resources to work, but not too much that they get backlogged.

This is an enjoyable way to throw away some time.... :)
