In addition though, make sure your PSU is rated for enough watts to
power the system with ALL it's components.
I've seen cases where the PSU is just fine for most things, but then
when I did something that would draw more power (maybe plugging in a USB
device, burning a DVD, etc.) this would be just enough to trigger too
much of a draw from the PSU and cause random behaviors - including
shutdowns. Typically if the draw was too much, or happened too often,
the PSU would blow.
Also, are you connected to a battery backup? Using a UPS helps to
filter power fluctuations to the house/facility (which are normal). It
could be that the power supply to the computer is fluctuating, and not
the computer itself.
