If the issue is only line thickness (as opposed to an issue with the line not printing at all), is it possible to actually plot two or more series with identical X and slightly different Y values? Ideally the offset would be enough to look like a single, thicker, line on the printout - but not enough to appear as two. Nasty, but effective in a bind.

A brief visit to google did dig up:
http://www.openofficetips.com/blog/archives/2005/01/charting_editin_2.html
Which makes reference to line charts in the comments.

"You can select each line - which can be really tricky as you have to click exactly on the line, and make sure the chart wall is unselected first - then right click and choose properties. From there you should see all the options you need :-)"

Probably a lot has changed since 2005, but maybe some things haven't.

Subject: [clug-talk] OT open office tricks

Hello Jesse and all,

I tried line and cubic spline and B line and line with both x and y axis
grid but still could not get the lines thick enough to see on the print
out.

I know that I am just shooting in the dark now, so I must sleep on it
and try again another day.

Regards,

Michael
