I went to London Drug, and asked for a low-priced camera (something
simple). Bought the camera (the Nikon Coolpix L19), and plugged it in.
And wouldn't you just know it, it worked with my Fedora install
flawlessly, no setup.
No prior research
No knowledge of cameras
Plugged it into my Linux box, and it worked. The Fedora pre-installed
camera program found the pictures, showed thumbnails, and asked where I
wanted to save them.
So easy, my Mom could do it.
