My son purchased an unlocked phone from China (samsung sgh-d900), and is trying to put a Speakout SIM in it. The phone is still branded for a carrier, but it was advertised as unlocked when he bought it, and it doesn't offer any error messages when he puts the speakout SIM in. It recognizes the SIM, displays "Speakout" as the network, but then only ever has 'searching' or 'no service' as its status. All the rest of the phone functions work fine.
The SIM works fine in the original Speakout phone. Are all SIMs compatible? Any ideas why it can't find network? Greg
