Not sure if this is totally on topic, but may be of interest to some. TELUS will be providing Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Service delivery to new homes occupying after April 1st, 2010 in Alberta's largest cites.
This link to a pdf document on the Canadian Home Builders Association Web site shows how it will be physically delivered to the new home and requirements for inside wiring. http://tinyurl.com/ya6owhf I think that as Telus starts rolling out this product it might create a bit more competition in the high speed internet market.
