About the 'Right to Repair Act' and how the DMCA is being abused by auto
manufacturers to restrict access for local repair shops and end users in
diagnosing and repairing their own cars. American-centric, but might be
useful to you.

I'm working on a story about copyright law as part of my thesis and I'm
currently looking for people who have been impacted by the law or people
who
may have unique opinions or insights about the future of copyright law. I
know that, in terms of the IT industry, patents are probably a bigger
issue,
but open source software does rely on copyright laws and there are issues
with anti-circumvention laws in terms of accessing encrypted DVDs and
other
types of files with DRM on an open source operating system, such as Linux.
If anyone in the group is aware of someone who I should talk to, or is
willing to be interviewed on the subject, I'd very much appreciate it if
you
could contact me off-list.
