When I saw the personal data posted it struck me as unusual to say the least..... and with all things web/internet related..... might prove elusive to recapture ( something like the peahen (peacock) in Edmonton in the news the last couple of days).... it just another lesson in how we have to be proactive in protecting our personal info. I had issues with identity theft after having a vehicle stolen..... take my word for it ..... its no fun
That being said..... the membership cards is an issue to be addressed at the April meeting.... as I also have not seen mine in the mail either Gary -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael John Walters Sent: March 24, 2010 9:43 AM To: CLUG General Subject: Re: [clug-talk] OT CLUG membership card Hello Shawn, I agree that the executive should delete my email containing personal information from the archive. It was a great lapse of judgement that I shared my personal information unencrypted on the net. Unless I develop dementia, I will remember not to share actual addresses and phone numbers on the net in future. Thank you, Shawn, for your diligence in protecting member security from unscrupulous and possibly criminal activity.
