Using Debian Lenny ISP: Shaw Cable I have been having problems with my Internet connection over the last week. I lose the connection and then get it back. This has happened a few times. I have a partition with XP and when Debian doesn't work XP does, so it's not a problem with the ISP; although with Debian and XP I use different network cards.
What would be the cause of this? Could it be my settings in Debian. I wouldn't think so, because they have worked since I installed it till the last week, although maybe something has changed. Or would it be a hardware problem (don't know why it would cut in and out)? These are some of my settings; don't know what else would be relevant. ------------------- */etc/resolv.conf* domain cg.shawcable.net search cg.shawcable.net nameserver 64.59.135.133 nameserver 64.59.135.135 nameserver 64.59.128.120 ------------------- */etc/network/interfaces* # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system # and how to activate them.
