For some reason, a bunch of "new" articles popped up on my RSS feed
from IBM developerWorks. They were not new, but for some reason were
labelled as such.

A few caught my eye. They are a few years old and a bit basic, but a
very useful reference for writing shell scripts.

UNIX tips and tricks for a new user,
Part 1: File maintenance tools

Part 2: The vi text editor

Part 3: Introducing filters and regular expressions
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/tutorials/au-unixtips3/index.html
Part 4: Some nifty shell tricks

Another series that looks good is the "Speaking UNIX" series.
