For some reason, a bunch of "new" articles popped up on my RSS feed from IBM developerWorks. They were not new, but for some reason were labelled as such.
A few caught my eye. They are a few years old and a bit basic, but a very useful reference for writing shell scripts. UNIX tips and tricks for a new user, Part 1: File maintenance tools http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/tutorials/au-unixtips1/index.html Part 2: The vi text editor http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/tutorials/au-unixtips2/index.html Part 3: Introducing filters and regular expressions http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/tutorials/au-unixtips3/index.html Part 4: Some nifty shell tricks http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/tutorials/au-unixtips4/index.html Another series that looks good is the "Speaking UNIX" series. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/views/aix/libraryview.jsp?search_by=Speaking+UNIX+Part -Mark C. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
