I've watched from a distance, made it to a meeting years ago, made it to COSSfest. A Linux issue I've been wanting to see some activity around is the threats to opensource software via ACTA, software patents, Harper's recent IP bill, and other bad intellectual property efforts that have swung into full swing. Maybe I don't know where to look, but I haven't seen much organization around these issues.
