Quick summary - Oracle's purchase of Sun has made a fork "worth the
effort". The fork is backed by "The Document Foundation", which is a
collective including Canonical, Red Hat, Google, and Novell. RPM's are
available now. I'm hoping Canonical's involvement means a .deb will be
available soon.
