OK, I fixed the install scripts (well it is more accurate to say I
kludged it to work with newer versions of wine).  There is an error
part way through though it does look like IE6 installed (it runs, I
have not done much testing as yet).

You can get the updated install script from
https://www.meganerd.ca/files/linux/ies4linux/ies4linux-2.99.0.1-gbj01.tar.bz

I have at this time only tested my changes on Ubuntu 10.04 with the
development version of wine (currently 1.3.6).  YMMV.

Hopefully I will not forget to submit my changes upstream :)
