I have a number of these (in service and on my bench). I am very
happy with this platform. I really like the onboard bootable CF
reader. I can bring my testing rig to the meeting if you like.

Currently I have a Debian variant installed (I am not a huge fan of
BSD). I carry one or two spare CF cards so if there is another OS you
would like to see running on it you can bring the image in and we can
see if we can make it work.

I also currently have 2 different but well supported (at least in
Linux) WiFi adapters to play with as well (a Mikrotik R52n and an NMP
8602 Plus, both are dual band 2.4/5Ghz devices).

I have USB based wifi and wired ethernet devices. They can work
unattended, at least under Linux (udev FTW here). I dislike the Atom
based solutions as they draw too much power for the little performance
that they give. This is mostly a result of the 945 chipset that the
Atom is usually paired with. IMO there are better solutions out there
with either better performance (such as a mini-itx Core2) or lower
power (GEODE, ARM, etc.).

If you can't SSH in to it, it is not worth having :)

I have wanted one of these for a while:

Sounds like fun.
