re: Calgary python coding sprint

This Cowboy Coder has an idea and it may have commercial value. I've cc'd
CLUG because maybe there's someone out there that would like to participate,
have info, or say "this has already been done" or "that's a really dumb
idea" :)

If so, reply to [email protected].

<idea>
    shell command via SMS and standard out being texted back to you
</idea>

I've worked with sending texts (SMS) *from* Linux / Python but never issuing
a shell command from my phone and receiving stdout texted back.

So you'd obviously need an SMS gateway and some kind of broker mechanism
with ssh keys to handle the login and then issue the command, return stdout
to ???something??? that would text you back.

You'd also have to provision a DID for each server you'd like to text, etc.,
and how/can you prevent someone from spoofing your CID???

Like I said, maybe this has already been done or maybe it's a stupid idea. I
just like the idea of SMS because any cell phone can do it.

... and you'd probably sweat bullets if you ever lost your phone :) or ever
left i lying around, cuz I guess, it's would alway be "logged in"???

Ya, I have an iPhone with TouchTerm on it so I can ssh into any of my
servers ... just thinking of something "lower common denominator".
