Hey, I've picked up a couple of the Amazon Kindle 3's. That's the B&W E-Ink display one with the little button keyboard.
I use it as a reader only, it doesn't do anything else. Battery life is measured in weeks with moderatly heavy usage, months when it's just tucked in a drawer. I travel for work and having tech docs in ebook form is a life saver. Being able to DL anything else I need in under 5 min from anywhere my cell works is always worth the cost - my clients have never argued with these kind of expenses. No colour does suck but basically never worrying about charging it is a big plus. My biggest complaint with the device is that it is a bit fragile (I broke the first one I bought). i bought cases for the 2 I have now and they've been fine.
