Hi Shawn,

I stumbled across this while trying to get my DCP-7065DN printer working.  I 
ended up following the instrunctions here: 
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public_s/id/linux/en/instruction_prn1a.
html
and they worked like a charm.  You need to run the .deb file from the terminal, 
with a --force-all option to get it installed on a 64bit architecture.

Thought I'd add my two cents.
