I am interested in getting a project going. Its a monitor controller system for a house. I would like OpenBSD but whatever happens needs to be cross platform anyways.
We should be able to find real cheap monitors like say a temperature or pressure sensor. We should be able to interface this say via WiFi. We should be able also say via WiFi to send out a command to a controller to swtich something on or off. Does something like this already exist? Is there an OSS project to do this alreaedy underway. If not then are there members of CLUG and CUUG who might be interested? I have a friend who has won a fellowship at the UofC and he wants this. He is an architect. If we get something going I would like us to work with him and the UofC.
