I second that. I love Crunchbang. I can go from zero to something pretty close to exactly what I want in only a few minutes. It has fairly coarse package selection but it fits what I need. I've installed it to several USB sticks and use it for portable Linux distro.

I had problems with it with in virtual machine for some reason, just couldn't get it to work. Installed nicely so now I can play with it. I have to say I am a fan of Ubuntu, it was my first taste so I guess that is why. Anyway, I wanted to try more so the distro that was top of the list was open suse. It didn't like the old machine, driver issues I think. So number 2 was linux mint, 15 freshly released installed beautifully along side debian. Looks excellent. Install fests are so much fun.
