I'm going to be building some machines in the next short while. I tried
with Ubuntu and I'm not impressed. My next try will be Debian and I'm
familiar with this since I'e been running it since about 1998.

I have a couple new boots. Is there interest in an install fest?

There was talk of install fest before, but it did not seem to get off
the ground. Seems the reason given was: "it's too easy, why do we
need an install fest?".

I had some experience installing Debian Stable after Wheezy 7.0.0 came
out. I imagined I had a minor problem (do not remember what it was
now), but it when quite smooth considering it was not version 7.1 yet.
I install it on a netbook and a workstation. The netbook worked well
too.

I installed crunchbang too in the past and liked it. Yet I wanted to
try the new stable. My opinion was crunchbang's extra install scripts
were a great idea.
