First, I apologize for this default setup behaviour. I remember how
frustrated and amazed when I ran into this many many years ago.

The bad news: The program we are using appears broken by design.
mail program is Mailman.

So far, all I could find. (each individual on there own subscriptions)
A very temporary QUICK FIX, (NOT repair) is to browse in and change your
options:
Go to:
Get password reminder email for this list?
[ say no and set globally ] or all subscribed lists.
====================================================
Once a month, you will get an email containing a password reminder for
every list at this host to which you are subscribed. You can turn this
off on a per-list basis by selecting No for this option. If you turn off
password reminders for all the lists you are subscribed to, no reminder
email will be sent to you.

Whats up with this? I can not (so far) see a way to have default be:
Reset password. (not send!)
 How embracing.
A better fix would be at least a default reset/not send.

Any of you tech guru's and mailman experts or former exec have any
ideas/solution? If so please let me/us know.

We need a cure, not a band-aid.

Thanks

Mel
