jitsi worked fine, had no installation process, and only required a
browser, granted I fired it up on Firefox, it just worked. Honestly i
will try giving jami a try, but let's get the conferences going with
jitsi, and we can discuss other methods there if we want.
Jitsi is super easy, click on the link, allow it to use you camera and
microphone, and join the conference. that's it. https://meet.jit.si/clug
Let's set the time and the date. weekend is coming up.

I just installed jami (GPLv3) ubuntu version and am interested in
comparing.
The flatpack version claims to be proprietary licence which seems
in error and nonsense
