Hello,

my clutter-app shows a V4L-source with clutter-gst what works as expected. The
strange thing is, that the video is sometimes fluent and sometimes stuttering
- but *always one of two* behaviours throughout the whole run (of a few
minutes). This leads me to the assumption that either gstreamer oder clutter
sets some settings automatically what causes one of the two behaviours.

The gstreamer pipeline which looks like that:
v4l2src ! 'video/x-raw-rgb,width=720,height=576,framerate=25/1' ! clutter-gst-
sink
I am constructing my own gstreamer pipeline and use the gst-clutter-video-
sink as sink with a new clutter-texture added to the stage.
I've checked the pipeline (in running state) that it's always using the
same caps - so it's clearly not some gstreamer caps-finding problem. I've also
tried to add a videorate element or completely use the I420 colorspace with an
additional ffmpegcolorspace element, but that does not change anything beside
CPU-usage. With RGB24 (renderer) the CPU-load on a dual-core 3GHz is between
12-22%, with I420 only at 1-2%. The RGB colorspace works better than the YUV
one.

CLUTTER_SHOW_FPS says always 25-26 FPS what would be correct.
The pipeline and the used texture is freed between each run.

Linux: 2.6.32
Clutter: 1.0.8
Clutter-Gst: 0.10
Backend: GLX
Gstreamer: 0.10.28
Nvidia GeForce 9500 with prop. driver 256.53

I have tried a lot of different things, but it works for some runs, and then
again not. I'm thankful for any hint,
Lukas
