Hi Daniel,
I have a similar problem on OSX. There seems to be cogl a bug regarding Text
and Mipmaps... read that somewhere.
Solution for me for the moment was to add:
clutter_set_font_flags (CLUTTER_FONT_HINTING);
after clutter_init() Hope it will help.
