I'm doing exactly the same thing! I hang out in IRC a lot lately, so if
you'd like to join me in my adventures (I really feel like a lot of
people in the next year or so are going to find out how cool the new
GI/Python/Clutter stuff is and it'll just explode) you can find me as

With the help of people like ebassi and buz, I'm slowly converting the
test examples and the cookbook, just to make sure everything is working.
My understanding has increased greatly and I'm pretty much in love with
Clutter now. :)
Once I get the stuff converted, I'd like to reformat it to be
Gnome-compatible and perhaps become a more active member in making
Gnome3 not have such an awful rep. It's an _incrdible_ piece of
software.
