How low end machine are we talking here ?
IBM X31 (1.3 Ghz Pentium M + Radeon Mobility M6 under XGL backend - it's almost software rendering ^^).
The video playback isn't heavily optimised as yet but I think it should be possible to play back 3 simultaneously without too much pain on a moderate machine.
Okay, i'll report my experience/benchmark as soon as i get a functional prototype (will be on an Athlon 64 + Geforce 6600.
