Hello Clutter Team Thanks a lot for all your help.I am now able to compile applications present in toys directory.
I have installed the following for clutter-0.6.2 so that I can use Clutter-GStreamer to display video on an actor. 1)clutter-gst-0.6.1 (Clutter -Gstreamer Interface) 2)gstreamer-0.10.18 3)gst-plugins-base-0.10.19 4)liboil-0.3.8 (for program optmisation) 5)json-glib-0.6.2 6)glib-2.15.0 (Since json compiles only if GObject is >=2.15) I have seen Neil Patel's blog showing a demo of Table application with many videos being rendered on an actor. The problem is on running the Table application , I am only able to see png image files on actor surface. There is no video being displayed inspite of the directory containing both png and video files.I tried using the following image formats .flv ,.avi ,.mpg . This is the exact error I am getting. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Table]$ ./table '/home/3gmme/Desktop/Sample_Videos' do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly. Try running with LIBGL_THROTTLE_REFRESH and LIBL_SYNC_REFRESH unset. (./table:2988): Clutter-Gst-WARNING **: Could not create a GST audio_sink. Any idea how to proceed? 2)This warning is shown "Clutter-Gst-WARNING **: Could not create a GST audio_sink. Audio unavailable." . By this does it mean that it will not be able to play only the audio of the audio-video file but still the video will be rendered since it is only a warning message or if audio is not available the entire audio -video playback would fail. 3)How to overcome "Could not create a GST audio_sink. Audio unavailable." Do I need to install any library for this.If so which one? 4)The following is also displayed "Message: don't know how to handle video/x-msvideo" for .avi file "** Message: don't know how to handle video/x-flv" for .flv file Why is that clutter showing this error when in table.c file I can see following formats supported by clutter (.mpg,.avi,.mp4,.mov,.flv).Can someone please tell me what are the video formats that will be supported for this application (Table) and also any generic application that renders video on actor. Also will all the decoding of video file be done by GStreamer or do I need to install decoder applications. If so which ones and how do I install. Also please find my comments in bold for below mail. GLib 2.16 is the new stable cycle of GLib, GObject and GIO; bugs are fixed in the 2.16 releases only until the next stable release. ( I am using GLib 2.15 now ) > Or can I download a json-glib which uses uses GObject is 2.14.2 > version .If so where can I download it? there is no stable version of JSON-GLib using GObject 2.14, except for the old 0.4 releases; the API did not change so you could just download JSON-GLib 0.4.0 from http://folks.o-hand.com/ebassi/sources/ and it should still work (even though I don't advise it: the 0.6 version is the stable and developed one). ciao, Emmanuele. -- Emmanuele Bassi, OpenedHand Ltd.
