I looked a bit at the problem. I think the quickest way would be to just add an nsopenglview as the subview of a plain gdksubwindow which is just an NSView. Further out it would be nice, if gdkquartz would make onenglview, and i requested that, but could take a while i suppose.
I am scared of autotools, so maybe if someone helps me set up the osx target in autotools I can start hacking the quick way.
