hi folks, since i first saw (years and years ago) the tablets in star-trek, i thought someday i'm gonna have such thing too...
and now i got really exited as i got my "proof of concept" so easily done with clutter, so started to look for a touchscreen tablet that has opengl hardware with open-source drivers. suprise suprise, none found. thanks for brain dead industry ? dunno about nokia 770/n800 as the screen is too small for my needs anyway and neo1973/freerunner is too small too. (where freerunner doesnt even have any 3d drivers for its 3d chip, what a waste) then i found beagleboard.org, with big adverts about opengl2.0es hardware, but again, no open-source linux drivers... (again, what a waste of hardware!) so, does anyone know of a touchscreen tablet (or embedded board) that has opengl hardware and open-source drivers ? it's seem my only choice at the moment is to modify my eeepc (as its intel GPU chip has open-source drivers) or wait and see if the next "eeepc" (according to wild rumors) will be a touchscreen-tablet. depressed tinkerer .andre ps. price shouldn't be over 300euro -- To unsubscribe send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
