Hi,

Sometime ago I announced the company I'm working with would be trying
to run Clutter on the native EGL implementation on Intel's CE2110
platform. This work has been delayed somewhat by other internal
priorities, but it is resuming now.

One of the first things we tried was to use the Poky packages for
clutter, since we already have Poky building for this platform.
However Clutter, and many of its dependencies on Poky, depend on X,
which we don't have on this platform. In fact, our investigation of
Clutter is exactly because we have no way of getting X on this
platform anytime soon.

So, big newbie question, what is the shortest path to getting Clutter
compiled on an X-less platform? Suggestions on changes to the .bb
files for the respective Poky+dependencies is very welcome :-)

Of particular concern seems to be the Pango dependency, which can
depend on a number of backends to render text. How should we build it
for Clutter? Is Cairo needed? and in this case, which Cairo backends
should we use?

RTFM pointers and suggestions for changes to .bb files are welcome :-)

Cheers, Leo
