That seems very strange to me. When you set the depth of actors >= 100
you should definitely see a change in size (if you use the default
perspective). Try it again, it just has to work ;) .

Interesting solution. I guess it is rather uncommon to change the
perspective for a zoom-effect. It can lead to other unpleasant effects
if you manipulate your actors in 3D space (they may for example look
skewed). So personally, I would go with the set_depth approach. But in
the end, what matters most it that it works, and if your solution does,
great :D .
