You need the clutter-gtk headers to build pyclutter-gtk. Either install
the dev package on your favorite distribution (e.g.
libclutter-gtk-0.10-dev on debian) or compile/install clutter-gtk by
hand. The same goes for clutter-gst of course.

I think most distributions ship packages for pyclutter-0.8, but you
should be aware of the fact that the current version is 1.0.0 and 0.8 is

As the article says, the gtk and gst submodules have been dropped from
the core pyclutter package. The are no releases yet, but they are
available in git on http://git.clutter-project.org/
