Hey Guys,

Much as Emmanuele's reasons for slipping abit with the developer snapshots for
1.2 release, I've had a simiar reason what with new baby and impossible
deadlines in my day job.

I've decided to get back to trying to port the astro-desktop toy to the 1.0
release and have rechecked out the git tree and started over (lost my previous
changes).

I'm currently working on the libastro part and have a couple of things I'd like
to run by

1) GdkPixbuf dependancy, trying to remove that and use ClutterActor instead for
things like icons etc.
Is that the right approach or should I assume GdkPixbuf is always available
for this toy

2) For the windows that get created and destroyed (astro-window.c etc.) there's
outdated animation code in the create and destroy handlers for the windows. Is
it correct to replace that code with a simple clutter_actor_animate call ?

Kind Regards,
