After considering this issue and the concerns Alex raised in the new "Setting include directories via target_link_libraries" thread, I've decided to revert add-INTERFACE_LINK_LIBRARIES-property from 'next' for now. The design and implementation of these new features is not yet mature enough to consider merging to 'master' any time soon. The 'next' branch is best used only when it is expected that a topic will be merged to 'master' during one of the "next" few merge sessions (hence the name). The branch serves to help test otherwise mature changes across all our platforms before final acceptance. Let's keep the proposed changes in your Gitorious clone at https://gitorious.org/~steveire/cmake/steveires-cmake for now. If I need to push commits I'll publish them somewhere similar.
