I recall discussion about this kind of thing before, but I think relating to qmake-qt4 and other versioned names. I tried briefly searching the mailing list for the discussion, but I didn't find it. Maybe it was in a bug with a patch submission? It would be good to link to it in the commit message. Other than that, I defer to Clinton on this one.
