Grep for `rerun` under Tests/RunCMake to see some tests that cover rerunning CMake already for try_compile and configure_file cases. A similar test could be added to Tests/RunCMake/BuildDepends, perhaps, to cover rerunning on removal of a CMakeLists.txt file.
