That way people can integrate the client-side capability however they see fit...AND the 3 different flavors of Dart clients that we have already can all leverage the same module.
Alas, the base interface to the Dart server may not be that hard, and simply not worth this effort. I don't yet have a feel for this. I'm looking for pointers.
