I just tested it again.
You are right, 2.06 just complains when FindFoo.cnake was not found.
2.0 and .4 ignore the _FOUND thing.
The part about _FIND_REQUIRED and _FIND_QUIETLY is useful only to
module authors so it is in the readme. Someone using FIND_PACKAGE to
find a package does not care.
OK, It took me >70 find scripts to figure this out...
