I tried a macbook pro with osx 10.4.10, Xcode 2.4.1 and it fails
with the same
compile error.
Any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Its odd that it seems to detect things correctly, but doesn't
set compile flags properly after that..

Xcode 2.4.1 (latest at the moment)
OS X 10.4.9/10 ( You should update if at all possible)
