You should read the doc for find_package.My opinion is that you should use find_package(XXX) for a FindXXX.cmake module.
Thanks, I have just installed a 2.6 version of CMake and the documentation is much, much better. I have the CMake book but version 2.2 and it is now woefully out of date.
