After all, setting BOOST_ROOT to the directory containing boost trunk,
setting additional versions to include 1.43, and invoking

FIND_PACKAGE(Boost 1.43 COMPONENTS program_options date_time)

worked fine

The user just needs to set the version number to 1 + the last released,

Not that I know of. I think FindBoost expects only versioned releases.
Please open a ticket with your requirements and preferably a patch.

Hello,

Is there a way to find the boost trunk include directories and lib
directories?
