Thanks. It just tried this and it works as claimed. Later today, i will 
inspect the generated packages on a windows machine too.

Ps: Excited, I tried building a DEB package with this patch thinking that it 
would result in multiple packages. I then reread the post and consoled myself 
that although DEB is also really an archive... the patch does not work on it!
