Set the appropriate variables at the top of the CMakeLists.txt file of the given subdirectory. Each add_subdirectory call creates a new scope, so variables set in sub-directories do not propagate to parents unless specifically told to.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

how can link flags be modified (augmented) for *all* targets within a
given sub-directory (recursively) of a project? To clarify: I do not
want to modify the project-wide link flags. Just for a certain part
within the project.

Kind regards
Ingolf
